Large Bank Deposit Before Visa = Instant Rejection Risk
A sudden ₹3-5 lakh deposit when your salary is ₹40-50K/month reads as one thing to consular officers: borrowed money staged for the application.
Even if it’s genuinely yours (bonus, FD maturity, investment sale, family gift), the pattern looks suspicious without explanation.
The fix: if you have a legitimate large deposit, attach a written explanation with supporting proof. FD maturity: include the FD receipt. Bonus: include the bonus letter. Investment: include the redemption statement.
Better: don’t make large deposits in the 30 days before application. If you need to show more funds, use FD certificates, MF statements, and other instruments that show the money has been yours for months.
