Stop refreshing every 30 minutes. Here’s what each status means.

‘Application received by VFS’: documents accepted at counter. Haven’t left building yet. Normal for 1-2 days.

‘Forwarded to Embassy’: file transmitted to embassy. Processing begins NOW. Schengen: 15 calendar days from this date.

‘Under process at Embassy’: being reviewed. Can remain for weeks. No news is normal. No action needed.

‘Additional documents requested’: embassy wants more info. Not a rejection — it’s a clarification request. Respond within deadline.
